Yesterday, our Blandford site welcomed the Lighthouse Charity as part of their national #MakeItVisible tour, which shines a light on mental health and wellbeing in construction.
The visit was a powerful reminder of how important it is to have open conversations around mental health. In an industry where long hours, high pressure and physical demands are the norm, support isn’t always easy to access – or ask for.
Ray, Sam and the team created a safe, approachable space on site. They shared their own personal stories, which really resonated with our team, and reminded us that it’s okay to speak up and seek help.
The Lighthouse Charity provides free, confidential support for anyone in the construction industry, covering emotional, financial and physical wellbeing. From counselling and crisis helplines to help with debt, illness or injury, their work is wide-reaching and incredibly important.
