SPACE was delighted to collaborate with TDS (Government approved Tenancy Deposit Scheme) in Hemel Hempstead.
Their design brief was to create a new contemporary workspace which would accommodate a flexible and agile working environment which offered employees a ‘home away from home’ vibe.
TDS has achieved a collaborative, inspiring office environment ready to accommodate new flexible ways of working. The space has been transformed to create a welcoming reception space which mirrors a home style and is where the client waiting area is situated. This alongside the meeting rooms give you a sneaky glimpse into the ‘house’. There is even a secret door into the staff breakout area – almost like a ‘speakeasy’ concept in an old house and the tea point has been designed to foster a strong team atmosphere.
We have created a multi-functional workspace to facilitate seamless hybrid working with different areas and have incorporated multi-purpose furniture to support and encourage employees to have freedom in the way they work. This could be ‘heads down’ time in the traditional, quiet library area or collaborative areas to share ideas and with the capacity to comfortably host company meetings in the large town hall space. The acoustics were considered, and the open plan area was softened by the introduction of delicate metal chain curtains, which are elegantly suspended from the exposed slab above.
