Kennedy Wilson, landlords for Building 1, The Heights in Weybridge wanted to create an accessible roof terrace which would offer 360-degree views and an outside retreat for exclusive tenant use.
This beautiful contemporary roof terrace is a key element and asset for staff to work in multiple sensory environments.
The geometrised space was all aligned with paving, decking, benchers and planter joints producing strong designed spaces. The wooden pergola is decorated with ambient hanging globe lights. The highly specified internal spaces incorporate several green living walls, so SPACE similarly matched this externally with large faux foliage walls and living planters to divide the space. An outdoor kitchen area was also created with a built in BBQ; bar area with under counter fridges, plus soft seating, outdoor graded fabrics to evoke an informal and relaxed vibe.
Multistem shrubs were used with densely planted bulbs which move with winds on this open exposed terrace. SPACE wanted the area to be welcoming and inclusive which is why it was kept to a neutral colour palette and natural finishes such as wood and stone.
