3 Aug HQ vs Hub: Has 2020 marked the end of the HQ?
Looking back to the beginning of lockdown, we all adjusted to the ‘new norm’ quickly. Everyone focussed on staying healthy and hoping that COVID-19 virus would pass them by.
The kitchen table for many became the new workstation. Toddlers, cats, and dogs took on new performing roles as they jumped into sight of conference calls. Regardless of our personal situation we had all sworn a secret oath of support and tolerance. No mention of bad hair days; sloppier clothes than normal or messy rooms or ultra-stylish rooms that made the new office backdrop.
New behaviours emerged as the Zoom wave caught on. Microsoft Teams & Google Classroom became a hive of activity with multigenerations using technology to stay connected with the world which overnight had changed.
